Blues Clues Brother Plush

lost words: Butz

The values Özgür does not know the term Butze and asked me to research. I can explain both meanings of the wrist, in order to etymology, I had to research a little.

Meaning 1

In northern Germany, called a shack, a booth (as we have built them as children), a Kaschemme, a shed or sheds - in any case a kind of small shelter Butze .

Meaning 2

Probably you all know the nursery rhyme about the Bi-Ba-bogie? We are on the right track, because the children described fear is a synonym for a goblin, demon, a ghost or just a tot - so again a very small figure, which does not necessarily have good in mind.

The word origin

a poltergeist or a horrible form was called in medieval times slug, a bogeyman, an imp or Balderdash, is a disguised form of fear. This developed in the 18th Century, mainly in northern Germany, the adjective cute, so we are again with something small.

Looking at the etymology of cute very strict, the adjective does not a funny, funny, just cute little thing, but rather a eerie goblins, pint-size. Probably, this also the other meaning of Butze , namely that of the developed crate. Our verb clean and the stained glass windows are from the same corner.
